The Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) supplies water to several areas under the Thane Municipal Corporation, including Mumbra, Diva, Kalwa, Majiwada-Manpada, and parts of the Wagle ward.
Due to essential maintenance work at the Jambhul Water Purification Plant under the MIDC water supply scheme, water will be completely shut off from midnight on Thursday, May 8, 2025, to midnight on Friday, May 9, 2025—a total of 24 hours—in the stretch from Katainaka to Thane.

During this shutdown, there will be no water supply in, all areas of the Diva, Mumbra (except parts of wards 26 and 31), and Kalwa ward committees, Rupadevi Pada, Kisannagar No. 2, and Nehrunagar of Wagle ward and Kolse Khalsa village of Manpada ward.
After supply resumes, water pressure may remain low for 1–2 days, and citizens are requested to take note. TheTMC has urged residents to use water sparingly and cooperate during the shutdown period.
